$125 to join focus group on clean freight vehicles for NY small biz!
OEI is excited to share an opportunity for you to join a focus group for small business owners over Zoom on October 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. on how to make it easier to purchase zero emission freight vehicles. Selected participants would get a $125 gift card and can sign up here (please do so ASAP as space is limited).
The findings of this focus group will be key to implementing New York’s Climate Act which has ambitious goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from freight vehicles where burning diesel creates disproportionate health impacts on communities near roadways. To understand how to overcome the present barriers to deploying more zero emission freight vehicles on the road, New York State Agencies are hosting this focus group specifically for representatives of small businesses that operate freight vehicles (like delivery trucks, cargo vans, and passenger buses) registered in New York.
The questions will be designed to understand your insights and day to day experience with freight vehicles and obtain a practical understanding of how to increase the use of zero emissions freight transportation options.
This research is led by the New York Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the Department of Environmental Conservation, the New York Power Authority, and in collaboration with the Departments of Health, Public Service, Transportation, and several other New York State Agencies. Please contact Climate Justice Adviser Sameer Ranade at NYSERDA if you have questions. He can be reached at sameer.ranade@nyserda.ny.gov
Thank you so much for your consideration.
