Clyde Ohl
Clyde Ohl is a former member of the Onondaga County Legislature; where he served as Chairman of the Economic Development and Planning Committee, and member of the Ways and Means, Public Works, Transportation, Conservation and Parks Committees. Mr. Ohl has a distinguished history of public service; he served in the United States Air Force, has been elected Mayor of the Village of Camillus and Supervisor in the Town of Camillus; he has chaired the Camillus Zoning Board of Appeals, and was a member of the District of Attorney’s STOP-DWI Advisory Committee, Greater Syracuse Economic Growth Council, and the Onondaga County Traffic Safety Board. Mr. Ohl has served on the Boards of Directors for a host of non-profit organizations within Central New York including the Onondaga County Soil and Water Conservation District, CNY Regional Planning and Development Board, Onondaga County Dead Lake Society, and Camillus Erie Canal Society. He is founding member of the Camillus Chamber of Commerce, former member of the Onondaga Lake Citizens Advisory Committee, and an active participant of American Legion and the Erie Canal Society. Mr. Ohl is a retired educator and High School Principal for the West Genesee Central School District. Mr. Ohl has a B.S. in Education from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania and a M.A. in Geography/Land Use from the Syracuse University Maxwell School. Mr. Ohl has been on the OEI Board of Directors since 1994. Mr. Ohl and his wife Ann have two grown children.
